Those Calico cups are inspired by a love story and a sunset near Calico town in California. The size is for a long expresso or small cappuccino coffee kind of.
They are all unique, I experimented until I found the technique to create this painting in clay imitating the color of the land of the place as a background and the colors of the sunset and the texture of the sand that you can feel it in your hand. The interior is glazed with a formula I created and also inspired by that toasted sand of the place.
This piece has its pour-over with the same design in case you want to buy it separately.
The pieces have been created with the wheel and hand-painted one by one, made with high-temperature local clay, and fired in a gas kiln at maximum temperature for more durability.
Size approx: tall 3" , wide 3"
Allow for slight variation as each piece is handmade. Oven and Microware Safe, Just avoid temperature shock.
